Posterous theme by Cory Watilo

Do I really want to blog?

It's 2am, and I am sitting at the desk in my hotel room. I can't sleep, so I decided I would surf the web a little bit from my blackberry because this hotel, as nice as it is, doesn't provide free wifi. If they did, I'd be surfing from my laptop and not my berry. Anyway, I wanted to post something to posterous. Why posterous? Because it claims to be the easiest way to post stuff simply by sending them an email. That sounds like fun I thought, so here I am, typing up this email that I will send to posterous shortly. I've also had the itch lately to blog. I'm not sure what I want to blog about, so I suppose I will simply start with a post such as this one. What is it that people blog about? I am by no means aan expert on anything, so should I even be blogging in the first place?

For now, I will likely stick to twitter. Its fast and kinda fun and I've had people who I don't know message me telling me they like the random stiff I post about my life. Maybe I'll just stick to that?

Hello posterous, it's been a while

i know, I know, i've committed the main faux pas when it comes to
blogging and that is starting a blog, posting for a bit and then
letting it die. I've really wanted to write a personal blog, but the
last couple of months have just been killer on me.

I can't really elaborate, and I don't really want to, but trust me
when I say that I am coming out of a part of my life i'd just like to
move on from. And with that, let's move on.

I've grown more and more dependant on my blackberry lately. I use it
all the time. Texts are usually my communication method of choice, or
for the few friends I do have that have a blackberry, blackberry
messenger. My cell has sort of become my life line to the outside
world and I figured the best way to start and more importantly,
maintain a blog would be to have access to it at all times day or
night. This way I can blog about what ever I want, when ever I want.
Done deal.

And so, I will leave this post at that. I truly hope that I can build
a small loyal following here on my blog. I hope to attract people that
enjoy reading personal, day to day event type blogs as those are
typically the ones I like reading. If you have a blog, share your
link. If you post regularly and just want to share with your readers
your everyday kinds stuff I might subscribe. And I hope you will
subscribe to me too.

Animals rummaging through trash.

I made it out to our back yard for the first time in over a month last
week and the visit wasn't planned. I was taking out the trash and
noticed that one of the bags we were storing under the deck had been
partially pulled through one of the cracks in the deck side. I'm not
sure how the bag was pulled through the one inch gap between the wood
planks of the deckwall because the contents of the bag were larger
than this. Despite this, some unknown animal(s) (I think raccoons)
managed to get over half the bag through this little gap and then
spread it out along my backyard. I was none too pleased.

We were just heading out to the inlaws for the day when I had noticed
it and decided that I would clean it tomorrow. Big mistake.

When I finally had time to get back there to clean the mess I had
found, it had already been pouring rain the entire day, making the
contents of the bag not only gross (it was grabage afterall) but
soaked as well. This added a dimension of putridness you wouldn't
believe.

I wasn't running my blog at the time, otherwise I would have taken a pic for
all to see. Rest assured, if and when this happens again, I'll have all
the juicy pics up for you to see :)

The office Christmas party

Some guys from work and I started throwing around some ideas for where
we will have our Christmas party this year. Last year was sort of a
bust; everything from not enough food to not enough seats together
prevented us from having a really good night.

Anyway, we are currently entertaining the ideas of either getting
together at the local gaming center/net cafe and playing us some video
games on numerous big TVs, or renting out a movie theater and using
that to play some video games on. Both would include eating various
forms of food likely to be not healthy.

Currently I can't decide which might be better. Maybe we'll wait and
see what each will cost us.

What is known is how I will post plenty of pics and videos here and on
twitter of the night. It should be fun. It's happening at the end of
November.
